Are you wondering, for instance, well I’m a Virgo but what sets me apart from others who share my sign? Sure, you know that the Rising sign and Moon sign are important, but there’s something else you can check. The planet that rules your Sun sign, or Star sign, tells you more about where this energy is directed.
As an example, a close friend of mine is a Taurus, so his sign is ruled by Venus. Venus is in Cancer in his chart, that makes him more sensitive, caring and nurturing, and he’s also very interested in style and fashion, he even used to run his own vintage fashion stores. So it's a really strong feminine underlying energy, which wouldn't be the case if his Venus was placed in Aries or Gemini!
Or myself I’m an Aries Sun, but Aries’ ruler Mars sits in Pisces in my chart, and that adds a much softer, less impulsive and more intuitive layer to my Sun energy. Or the example above: For a Virgo with Mercury in Leo, this person would act more confidently and spontaneously and possibly have less of a "servant approach".
